Shamrock Swamp hats are our signature pieces. Down here in the bayou, we use hats for everything, from fishing to fashion. Back home on the Emerald Isle, hats have a similar place. So, in the Shamrock Swamp, we need unique, comfortable, and fashionably functional accessories, or no outfit is complete! We are proud to present our Bayou Berets, which blend traditional Irish crochet with down-home Bayou comfort and modern style with prices to suit any budget!

Beret Teche

Perhaps the best known bayou in Louisiana, Bayou Teche changed the course of the mighty Mississippi. It is only fitting that it should lend it's name to the hat that started the Shamrock Swamp. With it's simple lines and stylish design, Beret Teche is our all-time best seller, and a great place to start your tour of the Shamrock Swamp.

Beret Teche is available in a variety of beautifully earthy colors. Soft, luxurious, and durable, this chapeau is warm in the winter, and cool enough to wear in the summer.

The starburst pattern at the back of Beret Teche creates a lovely "puffed drape" in the hat. Stylized from a crochet pattern originally from County Antrim in 1760, this hat his stylish in the summer, and warm in the cooler months.

Beret Chene

The Beret Chene is chic and comfortable with its shell stitched band and classic Beret Teche crown. It is perfect for cooler months, as the shell stitched band can easily be pulled over the ears. This beret is also excellent for "big hair" and doubles as a small tam.
